Originating History:
It is a Japanese born sport and now it is played worldwide becaming a powerful thus most thrilling and entertaining sport for viewers. How its done?
Oh yeah! Here comes the most interesting part, Banzai skydiving involves throwing a parachute from plane first and then jumping out after seconds or minutes!Stupidity or Braveness!
If you view this photo, you will see that utmost 95% of Facebook commentators thinks its an act of stupidity. But I must tell you, this act is safe enough and so far if done correct, no major accidents have been reported! If you are an engineer, smart or maybe a nerd, you can guess what's happening. Must read below:Whats the theory behind this if its safe?
Just Physics only Physics! Do you know about Terminal Velocity, if you don't know, read this article: Terminal Velocity. If you know or read the article, your mind must now show a sign of understanding about what is going on and why this sport is legal.
So if the parachute gains less speed every second that concludes the acceleration will be less and upward drag will act quickly on it to make it zero. But when it comes for a human, the speed and acceleration will be higher comparatively thus upward drag will take some time to make acceleration zero and to make speed constant.
It concludes that the parachute reaches terminal velocity faster than a human does. Now the second part, we all know that "when acceleration is zero, speed will be constant."
But still at some point, Banzai Skydiving is not safe. There is a death rate of 35 deaths out of about 2 million jumps every year.
So pack your bags and go go go!
So why not pack your bags, but remember to throw the parachute first because parachute don't have hands!
