Are We the Center of Universe?

Our universe began in a very incredible way. Everything began expanding, and every single point just moved away from each other. This is better explained in an example of a balloon.

Theoretical Explanation: Balloon Example
Suppose a balloon, which is initially not blown, have ample dots on it which are very close to each other. But when we start to blow the balloon, every point starts to move away from each other at a similar rate.

But think of it: What are these points spreading into?

Alexander Friedmann
Actually, space is expanding into itself. Just like a balloon, points are not spreading away but it is the balloon's surface which is expanding, spreading the points.

So when we consider one point on the balloon to be the center, all other points are moving away from it. But when we select another point to be the center, same phenomenon happen over there.

The universe just looks identical from wherever we look at it from earth, but also looks identical in every direction as seen from another galaxy. This was the Friedmann's second assumption.

Hubble Law
If there is more distance between the two points, the faster the expansion will move them away from each other.

Edwin Hubble

Therefore, the further away one point is from another, the faster the expansion will spread them away. Edwin Hubble discovered this back in 1929 when he observed that:
'further away a galaxy is, the faster it is receding from us'
This is known as Hubble Law.

At the time of Big Bang, the galaxies at that time should have distance among them equal to zero. This was the beginning of time and this point is known as Singularity. Therefore, any point in our universe can be the center, or it will be more appropriate to say that there is no center.

A Contradiction?
In late 1950's, a group at Cambridge carried out a survey of sources of radio waves from outer space. The weak sources were the distant ones, and the strong sources were in nearby. This seems logical!

There appeared to be fewer sources for the nearby sources than the distant ones. Therefore, in this scenario, we should be in the center region of universe as there were fewer sources per unit volume of space for the nearby sources.

Conclusion
Is there any center of this universe? Every point in our universe can become the center. Therefore, there is no center!
