There are many Android users out who really want their devices to stay updates always and everywhere. I know this is kinda with everyone because this disease is in me too!

2. Using root method
Visit Android.com to check out the latest from Google!
USING OFFICIAL UPDATE:
But you may be here to find out how to update your device, for that go to: settings > about device > software update > check for updates
Any updates if available will be shown there. Download it and install.
USING ROOT METHOD:
If your device is not receiving any official update and you really want to update your phone to showoff or something, don't loose your heart because you can update you phone but the method is risky and some what, its complicated! Therefore, I would at first recommend it for those who knows at most about Android phones or if they are pro users.
Go and lookout for any source for providing any customization for ROM like Custom ROM! A package will be downloaded to you, place it in your phone memory and access your root menu when your device is shuttled down. If you don't know how to open root menu, Google it because every phone have different methods to access and there are many Android devices so definitely I can't tell you about every device here!
Now when you have accessed your root menu, open that package from within root menu! When you open that package, your operating system will start to update.
But again, its risky!
For appropriate method, Google: how to update android phone by rooting.
Go on, update your phone! And don't forget to hit twitter follow button. :)
